Vine for Android
Vine for Android is finally available. The Twitter-owned app allows you to create short looping videos and upload them to the microblogging service. We wrote about the app when it came out for the iPhone, and now here’s a look at the Android version. After the app is installed, you can go ahead and sign in with Twitter or create an account.
Once signed in, you should probably start searching for some friends already using Vine, as creating small videos doesn’t seem too much fun if nobody’s watching. Use the menu button on the top right side of the app’s screen to Find people.
After you’ve found your friends, you can go ahead and create your first video clip. This couldn’t be easier to do – click the camera button on the top right side of the app’s main screen. Then, hold your finger on the screen, and the app will record, stopping when you take it off and starting again when you have your finger on the screen again.
Once your work of art is finished, click Finish, Add a caption and share it.
You can also see other people’s creations using the Explore feature. If you’re a user of the Twitter for Android app, you’ll find this extremely easy to use. And even if you’re not, it still has a pretty steep learning curve. Exploring is probably the most exciting part, and you’ll find Editor’s Picks and stuff that’s trending at the moment in the app to make things easier.
Vine with Twitter is a popular service, and the fact that it’s now available on Android can only make it even popular. The funny thing is that, just as it happened in Instagram’s case, some iPhone users seem to be mad about Vine not being iPhone-exclusive anymore. Comment Name * Email *
