He can be heard saying, “Excuse me. We can only re-elect Donald Trump.” The clip is taken from video footage of one of Joe Biden’s recent speeches.
Interestingly, he had actually said, “Excuse me. We can only re-elect Donald Trump if in fact we get engaged in this circular firing squad here. It’s gotta be a positive campaign.”
‘Manipulated Media’ label not yet visible to all
The “manipulated media” label is indeed a welcome move from the mini-blogging platform. However, it isn’t yet visible to all the Twitter users. Moreover, the label wasn’t visible when viewers searched for the tweet, but it was visible in the timeline. Twitter has assured that it is working to fix the issue at the earliest. The company officials have also shared that the company looks at the users’ public info, tweets’ context, and media’s metadata to determine if any media on the platform violates the policy. Twitter and other social media giants are currently facing severe pressure to take effective steps to prevent misleading content and cyber abuse on their platforms. Therefore, Twitter had introduced a new policy for combating deep fakes and other misleading content last month. The mini-blogging platform has announced to label any media which is significantly and deceptively altered or fabricated and determined to be deliberately misleading.
