How to Make Desktop Icons Bigger or Smaller in Windows 7 (Guide with Pictures)
The steps in this article are going to show you how to adjust the size of the icons on your desktop in Windows 7. Note that this is a setting that applies to all of the icons on your desktop. You cannot, for example, make some of your desktop icons bigger, but leave the others at their original size.
Step 1: Right-click the taskbar, then select the Show the desktop option.
Though this is not technically required, it makes it a little easier to ensure that anyone reading this guide is in the correct location.
Step 2: Right-click in an empty space on the desktop, select the View option, then click either the Large icons, Medium icons, or Small icons option.
If you don’t like the new desktop icon size, you can always go back to that menu and choose one of the other options until you have found the size that is best for you.
