I. Angel Child Monitoring– This device is developed by a telecom industry expert based in Bangalore named Krishnendu Dasgupta. He was triggered to develop this device after an unfortunate incident of rape of a six years old girl at her school. It is a GSM-card and GPS-enabled device weighing only 25 gms meant to be carried by children like a school ID card or mobile phone. Thus, the parents are always able to track the location of their children and know their real-time surroundings. The parents can call the device and it would be answered automatically without ringing thereby letting the caller hear everything happening at the child’s location. This device allows the parents to create safe zones by including the places that their kids visit on a regular basis. If the child is found to be somewhere they are not supposed to be, the device will send notifications. And once the child is back to any of the safe zones it will send another notification. Parents can use their computers to access the device or use the Safe in City app to be downloaded from the Google Play store. On this device, two phone numbers can be registered to be called automatically during an emergency. There are two versions of this device- Angel Monitor to be used by kids till the age of 6 years where the calling feature is not there. Another one is known as Angel Candy, from where calls can be made. It is meant for kids up to 12 years of age. II. Child Safety Gate– Kids are more manageable if they are confined to a safe area inside the house. This is a must when you have to do a lot of chores around the house and it may not always be possible to have your eyes on them. The solution is to install a safety gate in the house especially if there are staircases in the house. You do not want any mishap to happen while your kids climb down or up the stair on their own. Keep toys or games inside the barrier to keep the children entertained. III. Amber Alert– This is also a device to keep track of the whereabouts of children. This tracker comes with voice recognition and command. The child can call you instantly during an emergency through the panic button. It will send signals that you will immediately receive. IV. Child Locator– This is a great device to be worn around the wrist or ankle of the children to locate them. This comes in a set of two. Parents get a keychain transmitter that has a button on it. If the child wanders off, you need to press the button which will set off a loud sound to quickly find your kid. V.
